The bright lights give me no solace.
For it will always be dark to me.
Hours pass, it seems endless.
Will I ever escape my thoughts?
Can I ever really let go?
I will forever walk The Alone Path.

Sleep, please come to me
and rescue me from this world.
Take me in your arms
and let me rest, dream.
Show me your vivid colors.
Let me hear the soft music.
Please come to me.

Sleep
Limbs stretching upward
reaching toward the heavens,
in some silent prayer.
The wind blows and
whistles through your leaves
like a song.
You have so much life within
in the cold winter days of still.

The Tree
I picture us walking hand in hand
Across the beach in the sand.
Or in the woods for a hike
Side by side riding a bike.
Watching a movie, my head on your shoulder,
Pulling me closer when it gets colder.
Feeling the warmth of your kiss,
Is one thing I wouldn't miss!
Togetherness, laughter we're sharing,
Tenderness, love and caring.
If only you weren't so far from me,
Oh, how happy we both could be!
